Player in a FMCG market which is flat in volume, Interbrands drove growth by deeper distribution and e-commerce (developing the online sales platform www.shopidoki.ro, as well as the online platform dedicated to mothers www.maminet.ro). The Group (Interbrands M&D, Professional Brands, Joy Trading) will continue to generate growth and profit. The increase in the consumption of quality consumer goods has not been exhausted yet, as the need for comprehensive national logistics services is increasingly recognized by retailers, as well as international and local producers of consumer goods.
In 2014, a new company - Joy Trading SRL - was created within the Group, with 99% of the equity owned by Interbrands. The new company continued to develop the B2C direct sales sector with its two online sales platforms (www.shopidoki.ro and www.maminet.ro), where a variety of products are sold, from personal and household care products to cigarettes and alcohol (www.shopidoki.ro). Products for children together with information and medical advice are provided in on-line sales platform dedicated to mothers (www.maminet.ro).
Professional Brands continues its robust growth in the professional hair care and professional skin care segments.
The 2015 development priority will be to increase the brand portfolio by new partnerships, development of private label and expansion of rural distribution. Despite competitive pressure on prices, the investments in technology, logistics and particularly organizational development performed in previous years provide a steady base for maintaining market leadership position, as well as consistent operational efficiency.
